Brazil emits seven types of visas:
Of transit, of tourist, temporary, permanent, courtesy, officer and diplomatic.

The visas granted to the foreign citizens to work in Brazil are of temporary or permanent stay.
In general, they are granted in the exterior by diplomatical missions, consular distributions of career, vice-consulships and, when authorized, by the State Secretary of the Foreign Relations and by the honorary consulates.
The extension is granted in the same category where the foreigner will be classified, observed the foreseen limits.

The condition of the foreigner in Brazil is defined by the Statute of the Foreigner, Law #6,815/80 and its alterations, regulated by Decree #86.715/81.

The stated period of permanence in Brazil for the temporary visa’s owner, in business oriented trip case, is of until ninety days.
